Well my other option is a site perhaps like 4shared etc. So you would follow the same steps only instead you go to the forum on the VDBC site and download. I am trying to centralize my work and time on the net so I can create create create. (I am having success with this goal as I have been creating like crazy.) So once you have registered at the forum you can continue to download the freebies by using the passwords. They change once a month rather then every time. So sometimes the forum may not even ask you for a password if you already entered it that month. :-) And that is the blah blah blah of today's post. 

So now run on over and grab that file. And just remember....

Halloween Jumble

Hello Card A Day Blog visitors. Today the theme is  Halloween....

I wanted to share this card sent to me by Kristen B. using one of my files. It could be a very simple card with the one cut on the front, but I think the ribbon on top just makes it frilly and fun. Hope you like and it makes you smile.

Monster High Canvas Bag

Last night.. well actually yesterday... My Creative juices were flowing and I am in the midst of a bunch of files. Here is something I put together for my "Niece". She loves the Monster High. I checked it out online and it is almost like Club Penguin. So I made her this bag below for her birthday. I picked up the canvas bag at Michael's it is pastel pink. And added her name to the logo. Used my Jolee Heat Set tool for the Hotfix Rhinestones and this was the outcome. I think she will be super happy. I will fill it with paper and fun stationery things.

This is the back side. I carefully peeled the logo part and stuck it to the plastic piece that comes with the Siser Easy Weed. and then used it as well. I realized when I peel/weed things I just rip. So my patience had to kick in when I was trying to save the pieces. but it worked. tons of fun.

family: The weekend...

This past week was one that left me worn out and needing rejuvenation. And of course my first turn to was my wonderful husband. My rock. We hit the road for a horse adventure. Where by day my husband would ride and ride and by day my son and I would enjoy the pool and the comforts of a hotel away from all of life's duties for just a few days! Well it worked. I am feeling clear headed and ready to take on the world again.

First this weekend was going to be a split adventure where I followed up behind my hubby later for the weekend, but we decided to just haul it all up together after talking to my kiddo. For some reason, he loves the hotels. It might be the Pool! the Cable Tv! and probably the "no cleaning room" relaxation of it all. 

We got to our destination and dropped our "Rosie" off and went in search of food. It was a rush to get out the door at home and so food we found. A pizza joint. For me pizza places are slimming pickings.I perused the salad menu and looked up and it said GFREE crust. WOW! Really? hmmmmm... so I ordered one and had the first cheese pizza I haven't made myself in a long time. I took the risk and didn't get sick the next day. Nice risk. Here is my hubby as we wait for our pizzas. I'll get the name of the place and add it later. 

But here is the hubby. love this man! more and more every day. 

Then we hit the hotel and slept like rocks til the next a.m. 

Off to the barn we went. (Really my hubby got up hours before us to run and feed Ms. Rosie and then came back and got us when our eyelids were better functioning.) I forgot my camera so I couldn't zoom in on the moment here between my son and hubby. But watching the two of them do things.. like backing up the truck to hook up the trailer, getting out the hay to feed, looking over the horse. This just makes me smile. It is simple. It is just the two of them depending on eachother a little to help eachother out. It appeals to me. 

This is Rosie getting her grooming and ready to go for the day. 

She did really well overall. I think she wonders at time why I get to go in the house 

with my hubby and she doesn't. I swear she is in love with him. Luckily 4 legs, 1200 lbs

 and that whole Horse Apple thing don't cut it for the house. 

So while Dad was working horses, cows and having adventures. 

We got to hang in the truck and at the hotel. (Yes I got our truck back. woohooo!!)

My son is here kicking back as we watched Dad for a bit. 

My son almost beat me twice in chess. It was killer. He is getting really good. 

He just looks right at home doesn't he.Love those dimples!

This unexpected beauty caught my attention.I should look this flower up. It was growing all over the grounds at the hotel and there were hummingbirds and butterflies all over and around it. The other thing at the hotel was crickets. OH MY! They were everywhere. just yick. I try to keep rid of crickets at home as they attract scorpions. These things were everywhere. Luckily only one in our room. But in the stairwell down there must  have been about 20 dead ones.

I caught this photo coming home. My son was so glad to get back and see his dog and the house. He rolled down the window on the dirt road and just watched the scenery go by. Just thought it was neat to catch. 

Well that is my weekend adventures. I hope you had some to. 

All I can say is when you need a moment to breathe. Sometimes the best thing in the world is just to have someone hold your hand. Thank you to my hubby. Love my life.

Dive Right In card...

Welcome to the Card A Day Blog Followers....

Color Inspiration : Chamelon

My color inspiration today is this Chameleon. I found him on the Science Alert Fbook page and they pointed to the "Animal Story" page and there was not info on who took this phenomenal photo. Either way it inspired me and thank you to those who took the photo. You made my day. Natures color palette is un-believeable.

So I started playing with Color Schemes from this guy. 

And here is what I came up with. 

Which ones do you like the best?

I just think he is gorgeous, but I wouldn't want to live with him/her.

Family: Nanas and Cousins

Hello Monday!! Busy Busy here.
Here is a family post for my "journaling blog".

My Mom retired from a long career recently. It was a retirement that maybe she didn't feel ready for her, but me being the optimist. I am excited for her. I am excited to see her take a few moments every day to breathe and do as she wishes. My Mom used to sew wedding dresses, taught me how to sew my first apron, loves to decorate, loves to cook with her grandkids,  loves the ocean, loves to do many many things. She used to can vegetables with my grandmother in Wisconsin. In Wisconsin we had this crazy huge garden, I can remember working in it alot and pulling weeds. Here my mom has a beautiful garden in the middle of the desert with beds and flying ornamental flamingos spinning their wings. It is wonderful. So I am excited that she can enjoy all of these things and live life in a different way, but hopefully very fulfilling for her. Congrats to my Mom!

We went to dinner and this was pretty close to her birthday. So here is my kiddo with a Seahorse we got for her. (It took everything in me not to glitter it, paint it, glue it, vinyl it.) But I knew at my Mom's house it would fit in perfect with her love of the ocean.

And here is my gorgeous niece "Pea". I love her personality as it comes out. My son loves to spend time with her and play and be silly. He is always asking when when when will he see his cousin. Good times with family and a wonderful evening!

Love the smirk on that kid of mines face. And can I say my niece reminds me so much of my sister at that age. Love it.

Hate it When....

Now to our posted for today Post..... :-) 

Hope you don't like spiders.... Yikes.

 well at least Black Widows. 

I hate it when you see a spider in your studio and think yes I can squish that. It's a baby black widow. And so you put down your foot in the web and you ::gulp:::. How little was that spider? I am wearing my Merrells which I love but they are a cross hiking shoe and so have deeper divets on the bottom. Oh man. So now I am hopping around in my studio with one foot twisted up so I can see the bottom of my shoe. I am sure making a face that would have scared any living creature away. Bouncing up and down. You know when I was younger I used to be able to at a stand lift one leg and put my foot over my neck. The good ol days when some would call me pretzel. That flexibility would have come in handy at this point when I need to see the bottom of the shoe as I bounce like a pogo stick. Ahh.. yes okay i see it.. oh man half dead half moving between the grooves. I throw my leg down .and run out of the studio. And grind my foot on the rocks. Now i slide the shoe off and hold it at arms length and look. Its gone, but of course I look back at the studio and think. Man I hope that half alive part doesnt have the black widow bite part and I hope its not on the floor.of my studio. Hmmmm... Maybe I'll clean the house today.

Mom Pride: Karate

Last night went to Karate with D. He was so excited he was vibrating.  They were on a 2 week break. Talked to the Sensei and he is being bumped a class "because of his focus" and adding sparring... now he was vibrating and jabbering all the way home. His excitement makes me laugh I just love it. He got home and Greg asked .. what did you do? .. his response... "nothing. I don't remember". haha. what is that nothing word? a 35 minute drive home and he can't remember. Thank goodness we get emails from the teacher every day with what he did or I would wonder what they did at school every day.

This photo is of Dr. D and his buddy when they earned their new belts and jumped a bunch of belts in between. My  friend Julie and I were freaking out when they didn’t get the next belt because we know how they both are soo into it. We were remaining calm. So calm. But finally after they made it through three sets of belts and we realized that they had jumped all those belts in the middle. We were pretty proud of them. But what a way to add the drama and anticipation. Wew. We could see our boys with their heads dropped thinking they hadn’t passed their testing. And then they were beaming! Yeahooodie.

I couldn’t be more proud of our son. This is “his” thing. I drive him back and forth. It is something I step back and fully let  him decide where he wants to be in it. I provide the ride and the $ for the class. He practices regularly without my prompting and asks if we are going on the weeks we have off. I love it and his “focus” on it.

Well that is my mom Pride post today.  Filled with a lot of “nothing” haha. What is it with that word.

I just love my life. It is “everything”.

1st QMC file for Sept-Nov 2012. Last day for $9.00

I loaded the first QMC file to the forum. And it is a piece of Subway Art you can cut in vinyl or open in your graphics program and print on a card for a gift. Use all the pieces together in one tall sign for a bedroom. Or use it in pieces to emphasize that little boy you love.

Today, Tuesday the 4^th is the last day you can join the QMC for $9.00.  This Membership club is full of all new files to be cut by you. $10.00 for 20 files and they have many possibilities and cuts and come in many formats. If you have multiple machines, you can use them with my files. (And it would be nice to know I am not the only one with ahhh... a few machines.. we'll just say a few. hah) AND don't forget the perks section.. currently there are 29 files there in various forms and topics for the current QMC members to enjoy!
