KNK Retreat Announcement!

I am posting this KNK retreat info on my blog and forum because I have had so many emails asking me about the KNK recently (and because I have one of these machines so I can speak personally of its use.). Part of this I think is because of the Make the Cut changes and some of this is because of the ever growing need for those of us passionate about machines to want to grow and expand. I have been to one of these retreats and if it works out and comes to the Arizona area, I will attend again. I purchased a KNK many many years ago and it is a big yellow beast as I call it. It runs all the time and gets put through its paces. I am looking toward an upgrade in  my near future, but more on that later. For those of you interested this is a class limited to 20 participants, if you would like more info you can visit Sandy’s site. http://www.iloveknk.com/ (And if you are interested in the machine visit Sandy’s site, I know she has a slide show of all the things she has cut on their somewhere. This is important for all those  who run a business as well. )

If you are serious about the full use of your machine, this is a great way to get started, refresh and get lots of time with your cutter.

I took my hubby to the retreat I attended. Well he came with the little one to hang out at the hotel. Having him there to ooh and ahh over the bigger machine and what it can do just made me grin from ear to ear.  Let’s face it folks. Guys like tools. And this is the ultimate male + woman bonding collection a paper cutter that looks like a real tool/machine. Haha. My craft robo was such a let down for my hubby. My KNK beast came and my hubby said “that is a machine, Nice!” woohoo!

Enough yacking from me. Here is the information.

Come join us in Columbus, Ohio for a weekend filled with Klic-N-Kut classes, demo’s, and loads of fun!

(2)  Sending a $100 deposit to our event organizer, Diane Daniher. I will provide you her mailing address after you let me know you plan to attend. If you prefer, we also accept Paypal payments.

The deadline for making your deposit is April 15th.  The $295 balance will be due by May 25th.

Details on classes and demos will be provided after I have gathered information about all of you and what you want to learn!   : )

Can’t wait to see you in Columbus!

Stickles wall

This is my Stickles wall. A few people emailed me and asked how I store
mine. This way the air bubbles are out and they are ready to go. I am
addicted to pegboard. This tool holder holds the little ones perfectly! I
think for the tools you are supposed to hang them in the other slots but the
wider are perfect for the stickles. On one of them I had to spread it to
hold a bottle.

I had a few emails asking where I got them and some of the colors. I asked
for them for Christmas from abc distributing. They had 8 I think for $8.00.
My mahvelous Mother in Law got them for me. So they are so much fun to play
with. And my kiddo has been adding to the decorated heart. When he is done
filling it in with all the stickle I am gonna hang it on the wall above the
stickle wall for show. Haha. Anyways I went to check abc and they had 8 for
6.00 right now. ( I am an abc distributing junky!)

I am working on QMC files and have been uploading them. By today I should
have 20 up and then the last "icing on the cake".

So that's my update from me for now!
Have a wonderful day
Enjoy!

Who doesn't love Stickles?

Gave my kiddo a wooden heart and told him he could decorate it. Apparently we really wanted to try as many stickles colors as possible. Love it! Enjoy! Chris

Welcome to Monday!!

The last week of Spring Break and this morning my son says… “ I had a dream about school.. I miss school.” I had to smile. He said this from bed buried under his blankets and blankets. And it was 9 a.m. he would have been very late for school, but he went to bed late. Thursday we are getting back to our schedule for now I am glad to be a little more relaxed. Last week we didn’t spend a lot of time doing fun spring break things, but this week should be better. We have plans to visit the news station with scouts, skating, visit Aunt Nannees and see her new camper, and go to a friends house, and Scout A Rama. Somewhere in there I will fit in some work.  So it should be a great week before going back to school.

I hope you had a great weekend! We celebrated St. Patty’s Day at my “in-love’s” house. I could not be more blessed with such a great set of parents from my hubby.  It was a ton of fun with lots of family there and things to play and do. My hubby missed his St. pat’s day songs. O-Danny-Boy and the like, but he dealt. No one else wanted to sing. J My kiddo would have. We listened to his Karaoke machine off and on all weekend. On Saturday, my kiddo took first place in the Raingutter Regatta for Scouts. Raingutters sealed at the ends and filled with water. The boys ran two at a time against eachother blowing them with or without straws down their raingutter to a win! Very cute and very fun. Then there was a birthday party for a friend’s son. My kiddo had so much fun and he got to decorate a soda bottle for a rocket that works with a combination of air from a bicycle pump and water. I was elated to see this. Yeah! We are doing this next month for Scouts for Rocket Derby. All I could think was “cha-ching” mark that off my to-do list for April yeahooo!! Nice to have something done before the month even begins.

I did a lot of sketching and noting this weekend for my final files for the QMC. This made me happy. I felt a little stumped, but think I have the last few set and plans of what to do. Now to get them all up. Yeah!

Well I wanted to welcome you to another week!! I hope it is a wonderful one and you find lots of time to craft and create!

Enjoy!

Busy busy emotions

The dog is mad at me cause she is old and her skin is sensitive so I am in the process of her trimming her little bits at a time so she doesn't have a seizure from the stress of it. Every room I come into she seems to leave. Such great attitude. Doesn't she know its going to be 85 tomorrow and it's only going up.

And the kiddo is nervous because he can tell I am on the warpath for his room and have already started moving things and talking about... Would that make a good sand box toy? He comes home from school and runs in and checks it.

Hubby is happy with me. So no complaints there. Yeah!! Someone isn't emotional around me. However, he and I both need a quick vacation of some kind. Been a little frazzled.

And I am making cool ice for the birthday party coming up. Wish I had bought an extra tray. 8 at a time is a long haul! But its fun to do.

Hope you are doing well and having a great week so far!

Enjoy! Chris

Rambling Thursday.

So I have been working on my couponing and shopping. Last night my kiddo had “church” class as he calls it.  And so I ran my errands and picked him up and hit the grocery store near the church. Which isn’t near me. They had some great promos for meat.  So my goal has been to only use coupons for things we’ll eat unless I am giving it to the foodbank. We are on a non-processed kick. So the more simple the food the better. And yum the better it taste. Other then cereal. We are trying to avoid boxes and cans. Or only use the items I have canned. By doing this we are feeling sooo much better. I normally live this because of my gluten free but we are pushing the limits more. So on Weds the sales ads come out for the grocery store and this is “church” class day. So I can take the time to peruse them and hit the best deals while the kiddo is having fun.

I was super happy with my trip last night.

*3 family packages of steaks about 4 steaks in each. (promo buy 1 get 2 free)

*1lb of steelhead trout

*1 package of big shrimp (for D)

*2 snacksize tollhouse cookie choco chip mix – for my little D to make while on school break for his cooking belt loop for scouts

*24 bottles Flat of Arrowhead water – for the bday party

*4 boxes of cereal

*1 box of frozen pops real fruit by dole (to keep the fish cold on the way home) – impulse and waste of money purchase. But we’ll eat them.

*2 cans of frozen fruit juice (to keep the steaks cold on the way home)- these were a $1.00 a can. I am trying to find a replacement for my simply raspberry lemonade which is so pricey. This was yum. I made some up when we got home.

*1 water to go

*1 nestle pink milk to go – (I miss watching Charlie and Lola and her “pink milk”)

*2 Milks

Total $114

After coupons discounts bonuses promos etc

$47.00

(Yeah!!)

Fish was a big expense on the total but I was craving it. And I figured we would cook it that night. I don’t buy fish unless we are eating it that day. It goes bad to quickly on the drive home. My hubby cooked it up expertly. And my kiddo wanted the fresh shrimp. So he got half a dozen of the big shrimp variety that were GRAY! He was totally engrossed with the fact they were gray and would turn pink. I think he wished he could see it in the tinfoil.  They smelled so good I wished I had bought a few extra. But he chowed them down and decided that he may not like Broccoli cooked. However, Broccoli raw with ranch dressing is acceptable and much like being a giant eating mini trees. Haha.

and you won’t see any veggies here because I ordered from bountiful baskets again this week. We seem to be going through it every week now instead of every other. I need to finish up the extras we have left before Saturday and go pick up another basket. We got some extras this time. An Asian Pack (I have never used most of these ingredients. So should be interesting) and the 27 lbs of green beans. So I will be canning on Sunday. The rest of the Strawberries we have in containers and the green beans sliced for the freezer or canned.

Monday is the deadline for mailing in submissions to the Fair. I am considering entering one of my canned goods. But nervous about it too. D is going to enter his art projects from school. The art teacher is going to coordinate it for him. Yeah! So I need to send in his form to her as well. The Fair should be fun this year and my little one will get a participation ribbon. He is very excited about that.

Well I was so happy about my purchases last night that I had to post it. I am getting better about the coupons and even doing better about only buying what we need and not because it is cheap.

Well that’s my rant and ramble for today… Oh and my hubby bought me some new pants and shirts yesterday on the way home. HE IS THE BEST!!! Love him. I hate to clothes shop and he keeps buying me the next pant size smaller. Which I would be afraid to do just in case. But he does yeah! Love it! Anyways I modeled his purchases this morning before he went to work.  They all fit. YEAH! He is the best.

I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!!! I am off to work on my next QMC files.

Enjoy!

Chris
